Hand-woven tapestry made from hand-spun wool.
The forms within this work are abstractions reminiscent of bark, river tributaries and wide vistas of hills and mountains. The “micro” is also the “macro”, and a sense of scale becomes unintelligible and arbitrary.
While weaving the Land Being pieces, I felt I was entering into the language of the earth, the collective symphony of landscape, the detailed curves and edges of driftwood logs and ocean-eroded sandstone shores.
